WYBSA OBJECTIVE: to develop and encourage safe, healthy and fun youth activity through baseball and softball programs, in a predominantly outdoor setting. WYBSA programs will encourage children aged 5-13 to participate in either recreational or competitive baseball/softball practices and games which will promote self-confidence, strength, skill, endurance, positive sportsmanship and the importance of teamwork.
We have started the process for summer Babe Ruth baseball. We have opened up registration to see the interest at every level, so we can figure out team counts as well as the fields we will need to reserve based on the amount of teams. With that, at this point there will be NO CHARGE to register, we will figure out the cost once the numbers are finalized and fields and umps are reserved. Registration deadline will be MAY 16th at midnight, that will give me a couple days to get team counts together. Evaluations will be TBD, that will be based on numbers.

Summer baseball at this level is open to anyone who has played spring ball either through the Massasoit league, high school/middle school or AAU. We will be hoping to field teams at every level of Hock in multiple divisions as well as the barnstormer league.
We have also created a new division for 19-21 year olds, so if you have a son who has graduated and is looking for a place to play with smaller rosters of friends they have not played with in while, then you should have them sign up as well. If you have any questions on this division please email Tom Ohlson at firstname.lastname@example.org
Time commitments: Hock is historically 3 games per week. Barnstormer is 2 games per week. No weekends, unless you play in tournaments or have make up games.
Just a quick reminder that this Thursday (5/10/2018) evening at 6:30 is the AED training with Fire Captain / Paramedic Robert Holst. He will be teaching us all how to properly use this life-saving device. It is critical for the safety of our children and all of us at the fields that as many people as possible know how to use the AED.
Ideally, a parent and coach from each team should be properly trained so we can guarantee safety to everyone at the fields.
Please try to find the time for this very important training to empower yourself.

Opening Day info will be coming shortly. We are confirming a few things before we release the final schedule. However, plan to collect with your team at the usual parking lot across from Dunkin Donuts in the center of town by 9:30/9:45am on April 21st. Parade will begin at 10am sharp, travel through the center of town and will end at the ball fields near the library.
Uniforms will be ready for pick up the week of opening Day. Your coach will be your point of contact for uniforms.
